DATAWING RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This document describes your rights and responsibilities when using Datawing. It applies to all users, including individuals, minors, chaperones and organisations. Datawing may suspend or restrict access to any user who does not adhere to these responsibilities.
Ownership
1. You own the content and information you post on Datawing. You control how it is shared through your privacy settings or, where applicable, customer privileges set by an organisation.
2. We will distribute your content only in accordance with your privacy settings or customer privileges. When you change your settings, there may be a short delay before all systems reflect the update.
3. You must only post content that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe the rights of others.
4. If you make content public, you allow Datawing to distribute it to anyone until you delete it or your account. Public content may be visible outside the Datawing platform.
5. If you make content available to specific users, you grant them a licence to use that content for personal use unless restricted by customer privileges or a separate licence agreement.
6. When content is deleted, it may persist temporarily in backups or while deletion propagates through our systems.
7. When you permit an application to access your content, that application must respect your privacy settings. Your agreement with that application governs its use of your content.
Your Account and Profile
1. You may only create one personal account on Datawing unless we explicitly permit otherwise.
2. You must not provide false personal information or impersonate another person.
3. You may use an alias for your public profile, but your account must include your legal name in the main fields or the “Other names” section. We may remove or replace aliases that are misleading, inappropriate or impersonate others.
4. Usernames must not be misleading, offensive or infringe the rights of others. We may remove or reassign usernames that violate these rules. Usernames are not owned property and cannot be transferred.
5. If you are under 16, you must appoint a chaperone. Your chaperone will have access to your account and may view or amend your profile information. They may request account deletion.
6. If your account is disabled or closed by us, you must not create another without our permission.
7. You must not create an account if you are a convicted sex offender or otherwise prohibited from using online services under applicable law.
8. You must keep your password and, where applicable, private keys confidential. You must not share them with anyone.
9. You may not transfer or assign your account to another person without our written consent.
Your Conduct
You must not:
1. Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or that incites or depicts violence.
2. Post content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or contains nudity inappropriate for a general‑audience platform.
3. Post content that is illegal or encourages illegal activity.
4. Post content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, confidentiality or other rights.
5. Post or send content containing malware, viruses, worms, malicious code or unauthorised commercial communications (“spam”).
6. Engage in bullying, harassment, intimidation or abusive behaviour toward others.
7. Attempt to obtain login information or access another user’s account.
8. Use Datawing for fraudulent purposes or in connection with criminal activity.
9. Systematically extract, scrape or reuse substantial parts of the website, including using bots, crawlers or automated tools.
10. Create or publish your own database containing substantial parts of Datawing content.
11. Do anything that could disable, disrupt or impair the proper functioning of Datawing, including denial‑of‑service attacks or excessive automated requests.
Your Responsibilities
1. You may only post content appropriate for users aged 18 and under. Content rated 12 or above must be correctly labelled so we can apply appropriate restrictions. R18 or equivalent content is prohibited.
2. If you collect information from other users (for example, through an organisation’s customer privileges), you must:
a. Obtain their consent where required;
b. Clearly state that you—not Datawing—are collecting and responsible for that information; and
c. Provide a privacy policy explaining how you will use the information.
3. You must not post personal information about another user without their consent, including names, addresses, phone numbers or other identifying details.
4. You must not use Datawing’s trademarks, branding or copyrighted materials without our permission.
Your Rights
1. You have the right to privacy. We take reasonable steps to ensure your privacy settings are respected and your data is stored securely.
2. If we remove content for copyright or rights‑related reasons and you believe this was an error, you may appeal the decision.
Our Rights
1. We may remove any content or information that violates these Rights and Responsibilities, the General Terms, the Minors Policy, or applicable law.
2. If you repeatedly infringe others’ rights or repeatedly mislabel age‑restricted content, we may disable your account.
3. For serious violations—including illegal activity, threats, harassment, exploitation, or endangerment—we operate a zero‑tolerance policy and may disable your account immediately.
